To do or Not to do
No one cares for text book advice.
Show me a real person with a real story.
No one writes about the dark nights but only about the sunshine.
But the dark nights make the sunshine sweet.
And the dark nights reveal your own light.
So here I am writing about failure and so afraid to write a bad article.
I seem to have lost my writing mojo sometime between the last 2 years and now.
But as I read once in a Pema Chodron book - her then husband said the most wonderful thing to her.
He said she was truly brave - because even though she was scared she went ahead and did it.
I can relate to that. I've spent years of my life being paralyzed by fear. I thought everyone was better or more qualified that me. I see now how that affected my success in work or life. I saw how baseless it was, because comparing yourself to anyone is like comparing vanilla to chocolate.
Vanilla is meant to be white, and chocolate is meant to be brown.
Thats the way it is with us. No two people are meant to be the same.
My fears were unrelated - because I had no right to compare myself to other people.
Fear is meant to be our body's response to danger. It's supposed to tell us to STOP and take a minute to consider the our actions. Perhaps these could bring us harm.
But most of the fear we have today is not real. It's introduced and then magnified a million times by society.
I'm a big believer in the law of attraction - and I also hate it a little bit. Because I see people use it to judge others.
You haven't made a lot of money - you're not trying enough.
You're sick ? You must have attracted this.
And there we are - feeling like a failure every step of the way.
Focus on your own journey and set your own standards. be your own judge.
Yet life is not about failure or success.
Life is about having multiple experiences. Experiencing each and every one of them so we may empathize with our fellow souls. So we can share the ups and the downs. That's what we were created for.
EXPERIENCE.
If we were to take the word failure, and obliterate it from your vocabulary - what would you do?
What would you try, What would you pat yourself on the back for that you have been courageous enough to try ?
Have you been courageous to open your heart to love even after experiencing heartbreak ?
Have you gone out and spoken your truth no matter the consequences.
Have you fallen and got up again to walk on ?
Then you have not failed. For failure is a word that was coined for those that never tried.
Overcoming Fear:
The Solar Plexus Chakra is the seat of your personal power. This is where your Chi - or Life force - Prana, resides. Will Power and Assertiveness originate from here.
A balanced Solar Plexus Chakra will help you stand firm in your beliefs. When you are unbalanced, or weak in this area - your confidence waivers.
* Work with stones like Tiger Eye , Amber , Yellow Jasper or Golden Pyrite help to balance it.
* Judging or criticizing yourself actually leads to depleting this chakra and weakening your willpower.
* Use Affirmations that are positive and in the present to enhance your self confidence.
* Spend time in sunlight, drawing on this glorious life force to energize yourself.
* Yoga poses that enhance your Solar Plexus Chakra are Lion's Pose (Simhasana) and Boat Pose (Naukasana)

Above all , remember to enjoy life and the journey - As Thomas Edison is quoted as saying -
I have not failed , I have found 10,000 ways that don't work .
